When someone asks ChatGPT about your company, is the answer reflecting the reputation your team has worked to build?
For communications teams, AI answers add a new layer to familiar work: earning trust, getting your message across, and correcting the record when something is wrong. You need to know what’s being said, what information is behind it, and where you can make a difference.
Today, we’re launching AI Perceptions, a new GEO solution purpose-built for communications teams to understand, measure, and improve how their brands are represented in AI answers.
Built directly into PeakMetrics, AI Perceptions brings responses from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and Perplexity alongside your media monitoring and social listening. Your team can see how its messaging carries into AI answers, investigate outdated or misleading claims, and use that context to guide its next move.

Why we built it this way
Our take is simple: GEO is a narrative problem.
Knowing an AI answer is unfavorable doesn’t tell a communications team what to do next. The useful questions are familiar: Where did this story come from? What’s keeping it alive? What can we do about it?
The coverage, conversations, and company content shaping your reputation can also inform AI answers. Your team needs to understand those connections.
That’s why PeakMetrics is the first narrative intelligence company to measure AI-generated brand perceptions alongside news, social media, and other online sources within its core offering.
For one customer, bringing those sources together revealed exactly where the team could act.
A national theater chain discovers its own website is fueling a false claim in AI answers
A false, damaging narrative about a national theater chain was gaining traction across news and social media. The communications team could see the story spreading. What it needed to understand was where the claim was coming from and what was allowing it to keep resurfacing.
Following the narrative back to its source
PeakMetrics detected the narrative early. Using AI Perceptions, the investigation traced it to an outdated page on the company’s own website. The content was surfacing in AI responses and helping fuel the false claim.
The finding connected three pieces of the same reputation issue: information the company had published, what AI was repeating, and the narrative circulating across news and social.
It also gave the communications team a concrete place to intervene. The company controlled the webpage contributing to the confusion. Correcting the public conversation also meant addressing the outdated information feeding it.
Turning the finding into action
PeakMetrics recommended updated webpage copy alongside a public response to correct the record.
Updating the page addressed the outdated source information. The public response addressed the claim already reaching audiences through coverage and social conversation. Together, they gave the team a focused course of action to explain the facts while addressing a source that was helping the false story persist.
